Description

The church hall adjoining Holt United Reform Church is a Congregational chapel built around 1810. It features coursed rubble stone and a hipped Welsh slate roof, with a square plan. The two-storey building has a three-window front facing The Walk. The central window is a blind elliptical arch, flanked by blocked Tudor-arched doorways that have beaded surrounds. The first floor has three pointed windows with interlaced glazing bars, with the center window being blind. A straight joint in the masonry separates the two left-hand bays from the right.

On the left side, there is a 20th-century door with a transom light to the right, a large 16-pane fixed window in the center, and a pair of 8-pane sash windows to the left. The first floor features two pointed windows with interlaced glazing bars. The right side has two full-height chamfered pointed recessed panels containing 2-light casements on the ground floor, and a pointed window with interlaced glazing bars on the first floor. Pilasters rise to a modillion band below the eaves.

At the rear, there are two small and two larger 12-pane sash windows, along with a depressed Tudor-arched beaded doorway with a half-glazed door to the left. The first floor has three pointed windows with interlaced glazing bars. The interior has an inserted floor to accommodate church rooms.
