Description
The former Congregational Church, now a church hall, was built in 1842 and altered in 1906. The front is made of squared stone, while the sides are constructed from rubble, featuring tooled-and-margined dressings. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and has pierced orange tile cresting. The building has a gable front with a plinth and sill band, and a central gabled porch that includes 4-pane sash windows and a 5-panel door set under a segmental arch on the right side. There are larger flanking windows with raised arched heads that contain later casements. A roundel in the gable reads 'CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. Erected 1842 Sunday School rebuilt 1906'. The side returns each display four 4-pane sashes under segmental arches, and there is a pent Sunday School room attached to the rear gable.
