Description

Theatre at Donhead Hall is a building likely dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a tiled roof. The theatre is a single storey structure with nine bays of round-arched openings, which include double planked doors on the left and right, as well as leaded casements and fixed windows. The rear of the building is windowless. Attached to the right side is a 19th-century single storey brick extension that has a hipped tiled roof and segmental-headed openings. Inside, the theatre has a raised floor and a stage at the south end, along with a panelled barrel-vaulted ceiling.
