Description

Tudor Cottage is a house, originally three cottages, dating to circa 1700. It is constructed of dressed limestone with some timber framing to the attic, and has a half-hipped thatched roof and brick stacks. The main part of the house is a single storey with an attic, and has four windows at the front. A planked door is located on the left side, with two two-light casement windows, one three-light leaded casement, and a blocked doorway on the right. The timber-framed attic, with brick nogging, has three two-light casements and one three-light leaded casement. A two-light casement window to the ground floor is visible on the left return side, also with timber framing to the attic. At the rear, there is a planked door and a three-light leaded casement window. A rear wing was added in the early 20th century, constructed of cavity walled brick with a thatched roof. The interior is said to contain chamfered beams and open fireplaces.
