Description
The socket of a medieval cross is located in the garden to the south of The Vicarage in Sherston. This structure dates from the late 14th century and was moved to its current location in the 20th century. It is made of limestone and has a square shape, standing 1.5 metres high. The base is square and plain, featuring a socket with two tiers of panelling on each face. The lower section has two crocketed triangular-headed panels, which develop into four arched cusped panels above.
