Description

Number 70 (Clay's Hill Cottage) and Number 72 are two cottages in a row, likely built in the 17th century and enlarged in the early 19th century. They are constructed of colourwashed greensand with the upper floor made of brick, topped by a pantiled roof. The cottages are single storey and attic, raised to two storeys, and consist of three bays. The doors are from the late 20th century. The ground floor features three-light windows in segmental headed openings, with the left bay having a window with a timber lintel. The upper floor has three-light casement windows. There are stacks located at bays one and three, and a lean-to structure is present across the right gable.
