Description

Wisteria Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-to-late 18th century. It is constructed of diaper brick with a thatched roof. The cottage is two storeys high and comprises three bays set at right angles to the road. The central entrance features a six-panelled door within a heavy bead-moulded frame. A canted bay with a tiled roof extends to the left, meeting the adjacent property. A four-paned sash window is located to the right. A plat band runs along the front. The first floor has timber casements, and a carved panel in the centre displays the cottage's name on a ribbon. A gable stack is present. The rear has been extended with a lower, two-storey lean-to. The roof is hipped to the right, with a stack to the left gable. Internally, a central corridor has been removed, and the spine beams are boxed in.
