Description

This is an early 19th century brewery complex, comprising a malthouse and oasthouse situated to the rear of numbers 19 and 21 Hill Street. The building is two storeys high and of relatively small scale. It consists of a malthouse to the west and an oasthouse to the east. The architecture is characterized by standard segmental headed windows, and the windows are divided vertically. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and dividing quoins. The oasthouse has a slate roof, while the malthouse has a roof of double Roman tiles.
