Description

37 Market Street is a late 18th century or early 19th century building that stands three storeys tall. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a pantiled roof. There is a string course beneath the second-floor windows and a partial string course above the ground floor. The building has three windows, although the center ones are blocked. The windows are sashes, but the glazing bars are missing. To the left, there is a large modern shop window. This building is included for its group value with The Swan Hotel on Church Street, which has an extension at the rear.
