Description
4 The Shambles is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that stands three storeys tall. It features an ashlar facade and a slate roof with eaves. The building has three windows, which are sash windows set in reveals with glazing bars. On the second floor, there are wrought-iron window guards. The ground floor has a late 19th century shop front and entrance, which includes an overall fascia. To the left, there is a large shop window with sash movement, and to the right, a shop window with fixed glazing. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in The Shambles, which includes the King's Arms Hotel, Nos 2, 5 and 6 Coppice Hill, Nos 27 to 29 Silver Street, and No 2 Kingston Road.
