Description

Number 34 on Market Street is an 18th-century building constructed of ashlar with a pantiled roof. It stands three storeys high and features two sash windows set in reveals, with the original glazing bars still intact. There is a plain band at the second-floor level, a moulded cornice, and a parapet with coping. The shop front is shallow and bowed, with glazing bars and a central half-glazed door, alongside a plain door for the house on the left. This building forms part of a group with Nos 5 to 8 and the boundary wall at Priory Lodge, as well as Nos 10 to 35, with an elevated pavement in front of No 21.
