Description
Nos 34 and 35 Silver Street are two late 17th-century buildings located on an important site facing the north end of Town Bridge. The main elevation faces south and features two storeys and attics, constructed of ashlar with a modern pantiled roof. There are weathered strings at the second and attic floor levels. The centre gable includes an oval bull's eye window and a blocked 2-light stone-mullioned window with a dripmould. Some original 2-light and 3-light stone-mullioned casements remain. The ground floor is obscured by a modern shop front. The west-facing side elevation also has two storeys with a gable, featuring two sash windows on the first floor and one blocked window on the second floor. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a square-headed door. Nos 30 to 35 Silver Street form a group.
