Description
There are two unidentified monuments located in the churchyard between 2 and 6 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St John the Baptist. These are two chest tombs, dating from the early 18th century and the late 18th century. The southern tomb is likely from the early 18th century and features fine carvings, including a moulded plinth, high relief carved drapery, and skull and crossbones on the main sides, all set within an egg and dart moulded panel. The end panels also display skulls, and it has a moulded cornice on the flat top, although there is no legible inscription. The northern tomb, from the late 18th century, has a moulded plinth and two fielded panels on the main sides, along with a moulded flat top that bears an illegible inscription.
