Description

There are two unidentified monuments located in the churchyard, between 5 and 7 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Mary. These are chest tombs dating from the mid-18th century. The northern tomb features a large rectangular fielded panel, flanked by floral drops or drapery, with quarter balusters and a moulded cornice on its flat top. The inscription on this tomb is illegible. The southern chest tomb has two fielded panels with shaped tops, a central pilaster adorned with floral drop or drapery, and scrolled end panels that display floral or vine carving. It also has a cornice leading to an ogee-moulded flat top, with an illegible inscription.
