Description

The Poplars Inn is an inn dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It is constructed of painted rubble stone with a stone slate roof and brick stacks. The building has two storeys and originally three windows across the front. A 20th-century gabled porch has been added to the left and right of the main facade, and two original 12-pane sash windows are located between them. The first floor of the left-hand range also features two sash windows, while the right-hand range has a blind sash window and a Welsh slate roof. The right return has 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor and small 12-pane sashes on the first floor. A 20th-century addition is currently under construction to the rear, and the interior was remodelled in July 1987.
