Description
The Tower House is a detached house built in the late 17th century, with alterations made around 1980. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate pyramidal roof, with double Roman tiles on the former shelter shed to the right. The building has a square two-storey tower attached to a five-bay former shelter shed on the right side. The front of the house is two-storey with one window, showcasing a moulded square-headed doorway that contains a 20th-century door, and a concrete cross window to the left. There is a moulded string course at the first floor level and one cyma-moulded cross window.
On the left side, there is a 20th-century conservatory and a cross window on the first floor. The rear of the building features 20th-century patio doors and a cross window, along with single-storey extensions added to the rear left. The former shelter shed, which is attached to the right of the front, has five bays with square stone piers between each bay. This area is now closed off and has 20th-century inserted casements. The original purpose of the building is not known, but it may have been part of a larger farm complex.
