Description
This is a row of five cottages, now comprising three, built in the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from dressed limestone and feature a single Roman tiled roof with coped verges and brick and concrete stacks. The building is two stories high and has seven windows.
Number 16 has two four-panelled doors and two 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, with two additional 12-pane sashes on the first floor. Number 17 features a glazed door and a 16-pane sash window to the left, a 20th-century door with a flat stone hood on brackets and a 16-pane sash window to the right, and on the first floor, there are two 12-pane sashes and one 20th-century 16-pane sash. It also displays a Union Fire Insurance disc. Number 18 has a four-panelled door with a 16-pane sash window on either side, and two 16-pane sashes on the first floor. A straight joint separates Number 18 from Numbers 16 and 17. The rear of the cottages includes lean-to extensions, with sash windows on the first floor of Number 16 and casement windows on Numbers 17 and 18.
