Description

The barn at Trowle Farm is a structure likely built in the 18th century. It is made of random rubble stone and features a concrete Roman tiled roof with coped verges and saddlestones. The barn consists of five bays and has a gabled porch on the south side, which includes a weatherboarded gable. To the left of the porch, there is a lean-to with a planked door, and another planked door to the left of this. A slit vent is located in the wall to the right of the porch, and loading bays can be found on the left return. The north side of the barn has a porch with a hipped roof. Inside, the barn has a collar and tie-beam truss roof that spans five bays. As of July 1987, the barn is in the process of being converted into a dwelling.
