Description
The footbridge over the mill race in Bishopstrow dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. It features a low segmental arch and a cast iron balustrade. The handrail has wreathed terminals, and there is a decorative frieze below the walkway adorned with rosettes and wavy ornament. Some of the half-posts, which previously had chains, are missing. This footbridge is an elegant example of a simple bridge design.
