Description

BUTTERMERE - SU 35 NW 9/3 Town Farmhouse - - II Farmhouse, now house. C17. Flint and brick, pebbledashed c1950. Tiled roof. 2-storey, 4 bays. Lobby entry plan with rear wing either coeval or added in later C17. Central entrance under pitched porch. Later C20 timber windows with leaded glazing. Hipped roof, with 3 parallel hipped roofs over rear extensions. Interior has timber framed partitions, including to central block of rear wing. Central brick stack, originally with stair on rear, replaced with stack to rear wing containing oven. Chamfered spine beams.
