Description
Town Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed of flint and brick, with a pebbledashed finish added around 1950, and features a tiled roof. The building is two stories high and consists of four bays, following a lobby entry plan with a rear wing that is either original or was added in the late 17th century. The central entrance is located under a pitched porch. The farmhouse has later 20th-century timber windows with leaded glazing. The roof is hipped, with three parallel hipped roofs over the rear extensions. Inside, there are timber-framed partitions, including those in the central block of the rear wing. A central brick stack, which originally had a stair at the rear, has been replaced with a stack in the rear wing that contains an oven. The interior also features chamfered spine beams.
