Description
Nos 31 and 32 on St John's Street are early 19th century buildings that stand three storeys tall, finished in stucco with incised coursing on the ground floor. They feature sill courses on the first and second floors, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course. The upper floors have four windows, with square windows on the second floor and recessed sash windows that retain their glazing bars. No 31 has a plain shop front dating from around 1900, while No 32 features a five-panel door with a radiating and wreathed fanlight set in a deep arched reveal, along with a large window to the right that has no glazing bars. These buildings, along with Nos 23 to 41 and part of the National Westminster Old Bank in Market Place, form a very fine group.
