Description
Nos 13 and 14 on St John's Street are early 19th-century buildings that stand three storeys high with a cellar. They are constructed from ashlar stone and sit on a projecting plinth. The ground floor features a rusticated treatment, while there are string courses at the first and second floor cill levels. The buildings have a moulded cornice and a blocking course that is raised in the center. The roof is hipped and covered with slate.
On the second floor, there are two windows, and the first floor has two angular bays without glazing bars, each topped with small cornices. The ground floor has two windows, which have been altered, located beneath the bays, and there is a pair of flush-type six-panel doors in the center. These doors are accompanied by plain rectangular fanlights and are framed by moulded stone architrave surrounds with cornices below the first-floor string.
Nos 13 to 15 form a cohesive group.
