Description

A group of four chest tombs on a podium, formerly railed, is located 2 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St. George in Ogbourne St George. These monuments date from the late 18th century and feature moulded tables and bases with recessed corner balusters. The east line of tombs, from north to south, includes (a) James Kemm, who died in 1795; (b) Thomas Kemm, who died in 1799, and his wife Molley Buckefield, who died in 1801. The west line, from north to south, includes (c) Richard Kemm, who died in 1816, and his wife Hester, who died in 1842; and (d) Lydia Kemm, whose date of death is not readable.
