Description
Nos 14 and 15 Southgate are late 18th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall, with No 14 featuring an attic. They are constructed of red brick on a plinth, with a brick eaves cornice adorned with brick dentils. No 14 has a mansard roof covered with partly old tiles, while No 15 has a gable end roof made of slate.
Each building has one window. No 14 features large sash windows that are five panes wide, framed with flush architrave on the sides to create a pilaster effect, and has cambered heads with segmental brick arches. The entrance consists of paired passage doors and a house door with six flush panels, all under the same hood supported by scrolled iron brackets. No 15 has a two-light recessed casement window with a camber head on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there is a four-pane sash window set in a wooden reveal, also with a camber head under a segmental brick arch. To the right of this window, there is a recessed door with four flush panels.
Nos 5 to 15 Southgate form a group.
