Description

The Cottage is a detached cottage dating back to the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone with a corrugated iron roof, originally thatched. The gables feature concrete stacks, and the roof has coped verges. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-window front. A central 4-panelled door leads into the building. To the left of the door is a 3-light casement with a hoodmould, and a blocked fire window. To the right is a tripartite 16-pane sash window with a hoodmould. The first floor has two recessed chamfered mullioned casement windows, each with three lights. The right-hand return has no windows. The interior was not accessible when surveyed in April 1986.
