Description
Highsett, formerly listed as Fernleigh, is a symmetrical pair of houses from the early 19th century. They are two storeys tall and feature stucco on a projecting plinth. The ground floor has six semi-circular-headed recesses, each with a projecting band at the springing and a similar band at the first-floor cill level. The houses have a hipped slate roof and six windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, each house has two windows and a central door set within the recessed arches. The doors are six-panel with flanking pilasters and a moulded head, topped by an arched radiating fanlight. There is a two-storey extension on the left side with a stable entry on the ground floor. All windows are sash with intact glazing bars. The property is set back from the road, with a dwarf brick wall marking the garden boundary.
