Description

Lloyds Bank is a late 18th-century building located at 1 Silver Street, which includes 1 South Street. It is two storeys high, constructed of painted brick, and features a brick modillion cornice and a slate roof. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows. The ground floor has a 20th-century Georgian-style bow window shop front, complete with panelled doors. The return to South Street has a similar elevation with one bay and a three-bay extension framed by pilaster strips. The modillion cornice continues across this section, with glazing bar sashes on the first floor and plate glass sashes on the ground floor, both featuring voussoir heads. There is a round-headed doorway that shows a slight thickening.
