Description

No. 5 Market Place is a mid-19th century building located adjacent to the Market Hall (Town Hall), included for its group value. The structure has 2½ storeys and is primarily brick-built, with some flint on the ground floor. It features a first-floor band and a plain chamfered eaves cornice beneath an old tiled roof. The building has two hipped half dormers and two sets of windows, which are 2-light glazing bar casements. There is a central door, along with double doors with a segmental head to the right.
