Description

The building at 3, Kingsbury Square is a gault brick house dating to around 1860. It is a two-storey structure with a three-storey wing to the rear. The front elevation has five windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all with cross-glazed sashes. A central doorcase is pilastered and features an entablature. The entrance is through a four-panel door with a rectangular overlight and a metal ring knocker. The roof is slate, with gable end chimneys that have cogged banding to the capping. The west gable end has an open pediment constructed of cogged bricks to the eaves.

Inside, a recently installed Adam-style marble fireplace is in the front room on the right, while an original arched slate fireplace is in the front room on the left. The staircase features stone treads, good cast-iron balusters and a mahogany rail. The building is included on the list for group value.
