Description

The Greyhound Inn is a public house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century. It is located on Market Place. The two-storey main building stands on a plinth and has painted brickwork, a projecting plinth, a moulded first-floor string, a moulded and coved eaves cornice, and an old tile roof with flanking chimneys. The front facade has four bays with four-pane sash windows. A modern, raised and fielded panelled two-leaf door is set within a projecting brick surround in the second bay from the left. To the right is a long, early 19th-century single-storey stable block of brick with a slate roof. At the rear are gabled dormers, and a single-storey extension of two windows is also present.
