Description

The Church of St Stephen is a Congregational Chapel dating to 1812, constructed of squared rubble stone with a hipped roof covered in stone slate. The chapel has flush quoins and a rectangular plan. It features Y-traceried two-light pointed windows, with one to the front and two on each side. The front has double doors within a moulded segmental-pointed surround, topped with a hood on brackets. The date "TB 1812" is scratched into one corner. The interior is plain, with a gallery having panelled fronts. A congregation was founded in 1783.
