GV II

Early Cl9 front to older building. 3 storey. Stucco. Rusticated quoins to upper part. Slate roof. 2 windows on 2nd floor. Central 2-storey angular bay window, and one window to R.H. on 1st floor and 2 windows and 2 modern doors flanking bay window on ground floor. Yard entry at R.H. Timber frame with brick infilling to part of structure. Part of this same building under same roof to R.H. is shop of Vincent Head, Tailor, which also extends to separate building of stucco with hipped old tile roof. These all link with Maison Joyce (Hairdresser) and though all windows are altered and poor modern shop windows are inserted, they have picturesque value as part of a group. Nos 42 to 64 (consec) form a group, together with St Peter and St Paul's Church, and with Nos 65 to 85 (consec), The Sun Public House and Nos 88 to 90 (consec).
