The building at 86 High Street dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a pitched tile roof and a brick stack. The property is three storeys high and features a canted bay shop front. A further canted bay is present on the first floor, with tile hanging below, and a sash window with glazing bars on the second floor.

Nearby, at No. 9 High Street, is an early 19th century building of whitewashed brick with a pitched slate roof. It has coped gables on cut kneelers and slate-hung gable ends. The two-storey building has two bays and contains sash windows. A door is topped by a semi-circular fanlight.
