Description
84 and 85 High Street is a mid-19th century building made of red brick with a pitched tile roof. It stands three storeys tall and features two tile-hung gables with bargeboards facing the street. The ground floor has an oblong bay shop front topped with a tiled pent roof. There are two ranges of windows: the first-floor windows are canted bays with hipped roofs, while the second-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 65 to 85, The Sun Public House, Nos 88 to 90, the Church of St Peter and St Paul, and Nos 42 to 64 on the south side.
