Description

Nos 106 and 108 High Street are a pair of houses dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century. They are constructed from rubble stone and feature a stone tiled roof, coped gables, and end wall stacks. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and have a three-window range. There are two hipped dormers and recessed ovolo-moulded mullion windows with hoodmoulds: three 2-light windows are located above, while two 3-light windows are below, flanking paired doors that have a single hood supported by three brackets. Nos 90-112 form a notable group of 17th to 18th-century buildings, with Nos 94-112 known as the Flemish weavers houses.
