Description
The Tuckwell Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 4 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter in Broad Hinton. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a chest with a moulded table and base, and a hipped top. It has recessed corner balusters and side panels that bear inscriptions for Richard Tuckwell, who died in 1859, and his wife, Eliza, who died in 1840. The monument is enclosed within cast iron railings.
