Description

The orchard walls adjoining and to the west of the north garden walls of Littlecote House date from the 17th to 18th century. They enclose three sides of the orchard against the west wall of the north side gardens of the house. The walls are constructed of brick laced flint, standing 3 meters high, with 13-inch English cross bond brickwork forming the west side of the orchard. This includes simple gate piers and a return along the riverside to a square brick gazebo against the main garden wall. The walls are listed for their group value as they are important to the setting of Littlecote House.
