Description
The garden walls at Littlecote House, dating from the 17th to 18th century, are constructed of flint with sections raised in brick and topped with tiled copings. These walls extend from the north-west corner of the house to the river walk, then return east along the river and turn south to meet the end of the Laundry-Gun Room block. There is a second wall enclosed within, made of brick-laced flint and 13-inch brickwork, which encloses grassed areas to the east. The walls feature brick piers with moulded stone copings and lead animal crests, which support wrought-iron gates that open to the riverside walk opposite the center of the house facade. These walls are listed for their group value, as they are significant to the setting of Littlecote House.
