Description

CORSHAM CORSHAM COURT ST 8770 5/113 Walls to walled garden and gardener's house attached GV II

Walled garden, late C18, rubble stone walls lined with red brick, Flemish bond and with ashlar coping. Extensive roughly rectangular area, subdivided into two by a cross-wall, a further area enclosed to north. A wall extends east from walled garden to rear of the Bath House (q.v.) enclosing north end of formal gardens. On south side of main walled garden, attached gardener's house, dated 1877, not of special intrinsic interest but included as part of garden complex. Grey pennant rubble stone with Bath stone dressings, slate eaves roof and ridge stack. Two storeys, L-plan with unmoulded 2-light windows.
