Description
A pair of houses dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of rendered rubble stone with a stone tiled roof, coped gables, and end stacks. The houses are two storeys and attic, with a double-fronted facade. Each floor features two two-light flush cyma-moulded mullion windows. A dripcourse runs over the ground floor, and paired central doorcases, which are flush chamfered and now contain inserted two-light windows. Single-light windows with dripstones are located in the attics at each end. A 19th-century single-storey link connects the property to number 6. Number 8 has a 20th-century rear wing, while number 9 features a door in a west-end lean-to, a rear dormer, a first-floor two-light window, and a ground-floor two-light window on the left-hand side. There are two doors to the rear, centrally located.
