Description
The barn and granary at Ridge Side Farm date from the 18th century and are constructed of rubble stone with slate roofs. The barn features coped gables and projecting gabled cart-entries supported by ashlar piers. The walls have regularly placed pierced stone ventilation blocks. Inside, the barn has a five-bay double purlin roof with tie-beam trusses, and the inner walls are plastered with an ashlar base. The granary is positioned at right angles to the barn and has a stone-tiled turret with a pyramid roof, coped gables, and steps on the north side leading up to an upper door, along with a central lower door. The east end wall of the granary includes dove holes.
