Description
The granary at Slades Farm is an 18th-century structure. It features sandstone rubble plinth walls with brick dressings, while the upper walls are timber framed, adorned with scalloped and patterned tile hanging. The roof is half-hipped and covered with plain tiles. The building has a rectangular plan, with the lower floor open for storage. Above this, the granary is supported on square brick staddle piers that rise from the plinth walls. There are doors at both ends, which are located under drip tile courses, and an additional door on the left side that can be accessed via a flight of stone and brick steps and a wooden ladder.
