Description
The large granary located south-west of the stables at the Manor House dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a tiled roof, and is raised on seven by three staddles, with the front staddles elevated on brick to accommodate the slope of the land. The granary consists of three bays and features opposed central entrances. It has two-paned windows that were added later and vents in the gables. The roof is half-hipped at the ends. Inside, the structure includes tie beam trusses supported by jowled posts, queen struts leading to the collar, and clasped single purlins, with windbraces in the central bay.
