Description
20 and 22 West End are early 19th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall. They have a rendered exterior featuring cement rustication and vermiculated quoins on the first floor. The buildings have a projecting plinth, a moulded string course above the ground floor, and a moulded cornice with an astragal and blocking course.
On the first floor, there are three windows, while the ground floor has two windows. Most of the windows are modern casements, except for the angled bay on the left, which contains late 19th-century sash windows. To the right, there is a modern door, and to the left, a four-panel moulded door is flanked by stone piers. This door has an impost moulding, lintel, and cornice leading to a through passage, which features scrolled corbels supporting a segmental arch at the rear. The roof is covered with Marley tiles and has a central brick chimney adorned with a modillion cornice.
