Description

Nos 6 and 8 West End are late 18th century to early 19th century buildings made of red brick, standing on a projecting stone plinth. The first floor features lozenges of blue headers positioned between the windows. The buildings have chamfered stone quoins and a hipped tile roof. Each side has two ranges of windows, which are framed in plain stone surrounds with beaded inner edges. The central entrance door is a six-panel design with a simple architrave and is topped by a flat moulded stone hood supported on cut brackets. The building is connected to No 18 Doggett's Lane. The door for No 8 is located on Doggett's Lane and does not have a hood; this return also includes one range of two-light casements.
