This building dates from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is two storeys with an attic and originally had a rendered brick facade topped by a slate roof and brick ridge chimneys. There are two dormer windows in the roof. The first floor has two sash windows with plate glass. The ground floor now contains a modern shop, occupied by Cripps, a newsagent. The building is listed for group value.
