Description
Nos 20 and 21 Market Place is an early 18th century corner building with a curved corner. It is two storeys high and constructed from rendered brick designed to resemble ashlar. The roof is tiled and hipped at the curve. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows. The former doorway on the ground floor to the left has been converted into a window. There are two central shop fronts from the mid-19th century, featuring wide sashes with glazing bars, pilasters, and doorways, with the left side being better preserved. The south front has a pleasing double aspect with two ranges of glazing bar sashes and a central doorway that features a single architrave, a six-panel door, and a moulded flat hood supported by brackets. A wide off-ridge brick chimney is also present.
