Description

Nos 2 and 4 Fore Street are a pair of 18th-century cottages that form part of a terrace along Fore Street. They are two storeys tall and built of brick on a rubble stone base. The cottages have an old tiled roof with brick chimneys at the ridge. Each house features a range of three-light sash windows with small panes, and to the left of each is a six-panel door set in a moulded frame. Notably, the door to No 4 is topped with a flat moulded stone hood supported by cut stone brackets.
