Description

Ivy Cottage is a late 17th to early 18th century timber-framed cottage located in Coate, Bishops Canning. It is a single-storey and attic building with two bays, featuring a thatched roof. The timber framing is narrow, with three vertical panels and straight corner braces, with the front elevation raised by one panel to create two storeys. A 20th-century lean-to extension has been added to the left of the original entrance. The windows are timber casements. An off-centre chimney stack rises from the roof, which is hipped at both ends.
