Description

Oxhouse Farmhouse is a circa 1800 farmhouse, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It is built with roughcast walls and a slate roof, featuring end stacks. The main three-storey, three-window range has an ashlar cornice above the first floor. The ground and first floors have Gothick pointed-head leaded paired casement windows with iron opening lights on either side. A blank panel sits above the door, sheltered by a pent roof supported on stone brackets. The second floor has leaded casement pairs on either side of the central blank panel. A two-storey, three-window addition extends to the right, with blank panels in the centre and Gothick pointed-head paired casement windows on either side. All ground floor windows have shutters. A hipped rear wing is also present.
